Both of the bathroom doors in the building I'm staying in have mens' signs on the doors. Apparently Dwight furnished the apartment.

I saw the Office premiere at 9.30 this morning and I have not stopped beaming since. It should not be possible to be this happy over the antics of a fictional couple.

But they're so freaking cute. There is a god and his name is Greg Daniels.

The copy of Bill Bryson's Notes from a Small Island which is currently residing in my bag boldly quotes a comment from The Times that this is "not a book to be read in public, for fear of emitting loud snorts". Today has been one of those crazy days. I'm setting off on a hundred mile bike ride to London tomorrow with my friend and this morning my bike was, well, less than road worthy shall we say. I am so dumb. On Friday I came home and wondered why one of the recycling boxes was partially obscuring the front door. I thought that maybe I'd left it there and forgotten about it (pretty likely with my memory) and thought nothing of it. I went out with the old firm last night for drinks and chinese food which was great fun. And found a bar that serves sensibly priced alcohol that I've never realized did so before! I just baked cookies for our on take on Sunday (being "on take" means you're the people taking on new admissions to the hospital over a given period). I interpreted the recipe liberally so chocolate chip cookies became oatmeal and raisin (well actually sultana) but they look okay.
